Downhill skiing is just a 1-1/2 block walk to the main access lift at Big Powderhorn Mountain. Indian head, BlackJack, and WhiteCap Mountains are just a short drive away, and snowboarders are alway welcome! Big Snow Country offers 350km of cross country ski trails, where you can choose from beginner to expert trails, easily accessible from the Palm's. The main trail for snowmobilers is accessible from the Palm's, and there's plenty of parking available in our convenient front lot. |
The summer season offers the new 9-hole Boulder Creek Golf Course, located just 2 miles from the chalet. Packages are available. For fishermen (and women!) the area abounds with excellent fishing from Lake Superior, and charter boat operations are just 9 miles away. Or if you prefer, the inland lakes within a 30-mile radius offer up plenty of muskie, northern, walleye and panfish. Anytime of the year is great for sightseeing, wildlife viewing, taking in the fall colors, the "noise of nature" or the peaceful lakeside.
