Don't miss the fall colors at Big Powderhorn. Four
of the top ten "color spots" in North America are within
a one hour drive from Big Powderhorn, one of which is
a National Scenic Byway. The Black River Scenic Byway
is located adjacent to Big Powderhorn so you need only
to leave your chalet's driveway to experience one of
the nation's most scenic drives. |
| The 12 mile drive takes you to five waterfalls, all
with scenic overlooks and some with handicapped accessibility.
You'll visit Copper Peak, the only ski flying hill in
North America and eventually conclude your drive at
the beautiful Black River Harbor. Here you will see
the charter fishing boats, walk across the 80 foot long
suspended foot bridge, and visit the harbor break wall
extending 400 feet into Lake Superior. Bring your camera! |
