A Few Common Questions
How many rental units are at Big Powderhorn?
Over 150. Powderhorn Lodging has a wide selection of lodging to fit all price ranges and amenities levels. We have the most trailside lodging of any resort in the Midwest. The lodging "village" surrounds the ski area and covers an area of two square miles. A free shuttle bus is available to help you and your family move easily between your lodging and the ski area.
Are pets allowed in the units?
Many of our rental units are "pet friendly". We understand that a family pet is a member of the family and leaving it at home can detract from your total enjoyment of your vacation. We do expect your pet to be well behaved around other guests, the staff that may come in contact with them and the lodging accommodations and we expect the pet owners to take responsibility for any damage or extra cleaning that may be the result of your pets behavior. Local pet boarding facilities are near by as are veterinarians.
Can I rent for more than just a few days? Monthly? Yearly?
Powderhorn Lodging offers rental by the night, week and month, but we are sorry, we do not have yearly leasing options. Our nightly rentals require a minimum stay that varies by lodging type from two to three nights. Monthly rentals are available during the summer, spring and fall, but not during our winter season.
What is the best way to contact Powderhorn Lodging for more information?
We still like the "old fashion" ways, we like to talk to our guests. Our friendly staff is available to discuss your lodging needs by just calling our toll free number shown elsewhere on this page. You can email us too, at lodging@bpla.com. And, you can make your reservation online by viewing the units and booking on this web site using our secure online service.
What's the best time to stay at BPLA?
Any season is great. We have more guests during winter weekend than any other time. We get over 200 inches of snow a year so the skiing and winter sports are the finest in the midwest. Weekdays in winter are less crowded. During the spring the rivers and waterfalls roar with melting snow. Summers are mild and lazy. The colors in the autumn are as good as anywhere in the USA. Every season has its own charm and has a loyal following.
